Sorrel leaves


Sorrel leaves:

Sorrel Leaves are high in vitamin A and it also contains calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and vitamin C. The leaves are mainly used in soups and salads. The tastes of the leaves are sour because of oxalic acid. Sorrel leaves classified into two categories (Red, White) based on stem color.



Nutritional benefits of Sorrel:
  • Sorrel leaves acts as a medicine in increasing eyesight due to the presence of high amounts of Vitamin-A.    
  • Sorrel leaves are rich in Vitamin-C and prevents scurvy disease.    
  • Sorrel is a good source of iron, calcium, and magnesium.    
  • Applying Sorrel leaves mixed with Neem Leaves on wounds and swellings will give positive results.
  • Heat Sorrel Leaves and applying Castor oil will reduce scrotal swelling and insomnia.    
  • For curing Lumps and boils on your skin, boil sorrel leaves and apply on affected parts.

  • Don't cook sorrel leaves in Aluminum or Iron vessels. Sorrel leaves react with those metals and forms toxins.
